Evaluating second language oral skills in an on-line videoconferencing environment

Résumé

The aim of our study is to report how novice on-line tutors (n=12) evaluated oral second language skills developed by Harvard students learning conversational French as a foreign language through five sessions taking place in a videoconferencing setting. Proposals for new grids of evaluations to better match the on-line environment will also be discussed.
