Résumé

The Belgian poet and essayist Christian Dotremont is known as one of the founders of the Cobra group ad as the inventor of logogrammes, a particular form of visual poetry that plays with the graphic and compositional features of handwriting. The essay discusses Dotremont's visits to Lapland and their contribution to the development of the logogrammes as well as Dotremont's poetic principles and his relation to the history of avant-garde.
