Plastic Strain Energy Dissipated in Fatigue Crack Propagation
Résumé
A comparison between thermal dissipation of fatigue crack propagation in plane stress and plane stress condition is presented. The results show the role of plastic hardening of material as a variable which determines the ratio of plastic dissipation in plane stress and plane strain conditions. The results also show that the plastic dissipation is higher for plane stress compared to plane strain for the same material and same load condition.
