Rites et architectures dans les sanctuaires celtiques du complexe cultuel de Roseldorf (Basse-Autriche)
Résumé
The religious significance of the settlement of Roseldorf becomes visible with seven simultaneous sanctuaries. Deviations in the features, in the
distribution of the offerings and in the bloody sacrifices show different religious rites for different gods. Human corpses were dissected and their
bones crushed, the skulls nailed as trophies and one entire corpse was deposited as a victims burial in the ditch. Animals were sacrifices as whole
animal victims, as pars pro toto victims or as banquets.
