Le sanctuaire de Juvigné (Mayenne) : organisation et pratiques rituelles de l’âge du Fer
Résumé
This paper presents the recent excavations carried out on the Celtic and Roman sanctuary of Juvigné (Mayenne, France). Although not much is
known about the Iron Age inner structures of the sacred area, the site has provided the remains of various objects (pottery, weapons, ornaments,
coins) which were employed, broken and discarded in the central part of the sanctuary. Among these artefacts, the discovery of many potteries
and hearth plates proves that cooking activities took place within the cult site.
