Le cinéma des premières cinéastes en Tunisie, en Égypte et au Liban : (re)figurer un peuple au féminin
Résumé
Women's cinema started in the 1970s in the Arab world as well as in Western countries. Because of the movement of feminist critics born in Europe and United States in this period, Arab women's films were read as feminist. Considering filmmakers' discourses, which often reject this feminist restriction, this article tries to think their cinema differently, highlighting the courageous and human part of their enterprise.
