Dual-polarization DFB fiber laser stabilized by frequency- shifted feedback
Résumé
The beating frequency of 1.5 µm dual polarization DFB fiber lasers is shown to be stabilized at 1 GHz by means of an optical frequency-shifted feedback loop. It leads to an optically carried RF source with sub-Hz linewidth. The width of the locking range is proportional to the reinjection rate. Such dual-frequency stabilized laser could provide compact integrated components for RF and microwave photonics applications.
