Interaction Potential for a System of N Charged Particles Near a Spherical Interface
Résumé
By integration of the electrostatic energy density of the system, we provide analytical expressions of the potential for a system of N charged particles in the presence of a surface which separates two continuous media, conductor, dielectric or vacuum. Such situations correspond, for example, to a number of electrons inside a spherical cavity of a conductor or interacting with a dielectric sphere. Bound states are analyzed for different values of the sphere radius.
