Dielectric wire wrapped in graphene layer with a slot as a plasmonic absorber of THz waves

Résumé

Considered is the scattering of an H-polarized plane wave by a dielectric wire with a graphene cover, which is shaped trip. We derive a hyper-singular integral equation for the electric current induced on the strip and discretize it using a Nystrom-type method. This provides the convergence of the algorithm that enables us to plot the dependences of the absorption cross-section (ACS) on the frequency, graphene strip angular width, and its orientation angle. We derive approximate characteristic equation for the frequencies of the plasmon modes as a function of the width of graphene strip. At the resonance frequencies, we control the maximum values of ACS by changing the orientation angle of the graphene strip. © 2019 IEEE.
