Decadal-scale morphological evolution of a muddy open coast

Abstract

Analysis of the long-term morphological evolution of a muddy open-coastSediment transport suggests a growth of mudbanks migrating along the coast.Cross-shore exchange of sediment is equally significant as longshore transport.Mudbank and shoreline erosion/accretion trends are reversed.
