Résumé

SAMT SUDOE project pursues the promotion of Additive Manufacturing (AM) and Advanced materials (Am) technologies into mould making and plastic processing sectors. The work presented here comprehends the first stage of the project where an analysis on the trends of use, application and research in the field of AM and Am is made. The study was made focusing in France, Portugal and Spain and was undertaken using two approaches:-Surveys to companies and RTDs related to the sectors (a total of 138 surveys were compiled).-Bibliographic analysis of scientific publications, R&D projects, and public strategies in each region. The paper describes the findings and conclusions obtained from the analysis of these two approaches, reflecting which technologies are currently used, their applications, potential technologies for the future as well as active fields of research in these regions.
