Impact of Measurement Methods over the Characterization of Transient Electromagnetic (EM) Signals above 2 GHz in a Railway Environment
Résumé
In order to offer on-board Internet access on trains a Wi-Fi and LTE connection are required. These communicationsystems have to take into account electromagnetic (EM) interferences present in the railway environment in the 2 GHz frequency band since this is a frequency band in which LTE and Wi-Fi operate. This paper presents a series of tests that were carried out to analyze the impact of measurement methods over the characterization of transient electromagnetic (EM) interferences above 2 GHz in a railway environment. Experimental results from two different setups are analyzed in the time and frequency domains.
