Résumé

System is a set of interrelated elements that are linked together for the specific and common goals. Systems analysis and design is a holistic approach to problem that helps us to understand the current position of the organization, inform the workflow and evaluate which, and choose the best solution to solve problems. By using a systematic approach rather than a limited one, a system analyst reaches a holistic view and provides good solutions to system problems. Many problems associated with different industries and organizations can only be analyzed with the help of a systematic approach. Such approach examines systems by considering their totality and the relationship between each of their constituents. An information system is a system designed to perform operations on information in an organization. One of the methods used to analyze and design systems is the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), consisting of five steps of planning, analyzing, designing, implementing and supporting. This cycle is the basis of this book together with its steps. This book is provided based on the author's sources and knowledge, in three chapters divided into eleven sections. The first chapter introduces the system and its components, organization and the systemic approach. Then the information system and its types, system analyst, system analysis and its steps are discussed in this chapter in detail, and finally, the SDLC is introduced. In the second chapter, the steps of the SDLC are comprehensively reviewed in five sections. In the planning step, the project start and work plan development are examined. In the analysis step, the process modeling and data model are studied. In the designing step, the physical models and the system inputs and outputs designing are discussed. Finally, two steps of implementation and support are examined. Chapter three provides a variety of examples for more familiarity with ways to draw Data Flow Diagram (DFD).
