A 3D integral method for modelling 3D effects in coils used in inductive processes

Résumé

A 3D numerical method has been developed to model the coils used in inductive processes. The method is based on Ohm's law and Biot and Savart's law and can be used to solve eddy current problems at mid-range or high frequencies. The unknowns are the current density and electrical potential. The formulation involves singular integrals and produces a fully linear system, as in the boundary integral method. For these frequencies, only the surface of the conductors
