Influence of the Lipid Domain on the Supramolecular Assemblies of Cationic Lipids. Characterization by Solid-State 31P and 2H NMR Spectroscopy

Résumé

Synthetic cationic lipids based on phosphoramidate chemistry are readily synthesized at a gram scale and their formulation as liposomal solution by hydration of a lipid film can be readily prepared. The supramolecular structure of these liposomes is an important characteristic since it can impact on their applications such as vectors for gene delivery. Within this poster, we clearly evidence, by using solid-state 31P or 2H NMR, the presence of either a layered or hexagonal organization for the cationic amphiphiles in hydrated medium. The type of supramolecular organization is deeply influenced by the structure of the lipid chains.
