Transient Stabilization and Voltage Regulation of a Synchronous Generator

Abstract

We constructively prove the existence of a robust adaptive nonlinear dynamic feedback control for a synchronous generator connected to an infinite bus, which does not require the machine internal voltage measurement and relies on the well-understood third order model nonlinearities but not on several critical parameters. Boundedness and L∞ and L2 transient performance are guaranteed; asymptotic speed and terminal voltage regulation are achieved in the case of permanent constant parameter perturbations.
