Dimensional analysis and surrogate modelling technique for the sizing of actuation systems
Résumé
This paper presents a surrogate modelling technic, called VPLM (Variable Power Law Meta-model), adapted to the requirements of preliminary design and sizing of actuation systems and components. The proposed methodology com-bines dimensional analysis and surrogate modelling tech-nique to build light models from finite element simulations. The proposed methodology is applied here on an actuator component: the brushless motor. Several models are built and used in a case study for the sizing of an aileron actuator.
