Overcoming Feasibility Constraints in Reflectarray Design by Exploiting Non-Radiating Currents
Résumé
This work proposes a new design methodology aimed at overcoming the feasibility constraints in the synthesis of microstrip reflectarrays. Towards this end, the non-radiating (NR) currents theory is profitably exploited in order to suitably modify the reflectarray surface currents without changing the radiated pattern, and a global optimizer is employed to efficiently solve the arising synthesis problem. An illustrative example is presented in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed design approach.
