Diamond Tiling Optimization for Hexagonal Shaped Phased Arrays
Résumé
The optimization of hexagonal phased array apertures, tessellated by diamond shaped tiles modules, is addressed. While assuring the complete covering of the antenna aperture, an enumerative-based technique is exploited for the exhaustive search of tilings that are optimal with respect to the distance of the power pattern from ideal mask-defined constraints. An illustrative numerical example is reported, showing the effectiveness of the proposed method.
