High-Gain Observer Design for a Class of Hyperbolic Systems ofBalance Laws

Résumé

Considering a class of hyperbolic systems ofbalance laws with distributed measurements, and possiblydistributed effects of known inputs, a structure suitable foruniform observability is first emphasized. Sufficient conditionsfor an explicit high-gain observer design are then derivedfor special cases of such systems. The stability of the relatedobserver estimation error is fully established by means ofLyapunov-based techniques,
