E-HandicapScale : an open and secure way to promote and improve diagnostics of disabled patients

Résumé

Online web services are nowadays a way to support advanced medicine and diagnostics. International scales for evaluating disabilities and handicaps are now widely available. However, their adoption faces several problems for example in small rehabilitation centers. Online systems could help in promoting their usage. However, existing approaches have limited openness and security. This paper addresses those two major problems. Moreover, the proposed web service improves the usability through an advanced correlation of different scales and regional cohorts. Our work involves different disciplines including Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinicians, Occupational Therapists and researchers in Computer Security.
