RA-Go : a SAR Go Interface (ISMAR Demo session)

Résumé

Spatial Augmented Reality interfaces allow to interact with a pro- jected virtual content using tangible interfaces. We have developed an application to play on an actual Go board with a remote player. Go is a strategy game for two players invented in ancient China. Our idea is to let a player play in front of the Go board with real stones while projecting the remote opponent’s stones directly onto the board. To do so, we combined an already available Go network interface (qGo) with some image processing based on OpenCV and ArUco. This allows a player to play in front of a board rather than in front of a computer with players from all around the world.
