Résumé

The utilization of nodal based – generalized equivalent magnetic circuit method (EMCM) in the modeling of a double excitation synchronous machine (DESM) is presented in this paper. Nonlinear magnetization characteristic is taken into consideration. This method shows a distinguishing advantage over the finite element method (FEM) in term of computation time. The validity of the EMC results are examined by comparisons with 3D FEM.
