A review on ADRC based PMSM control designs

Abstract

Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) isextensively used in industries. Recently, active disturbancerejection controller (ADRC) based control designs stand out dueto advantages for a complex uncertain PMSM servo system. Ageneral design procedure for the ADRC based PMSM control isdiscussed at the beginning. Then, the ADRC based controldesigns applied to PMSM servo systems are fully reviewed, inwhich several aspects are involved: position control, speedcontrol, current control, cascaded ADRC control, and positionidentification. Moreover, to verify the effectiveness of the ADRCbased control, simulations for the PMSM speed control areconducted in the Matlab/Simulink. Conclusions and the futureresearch directions are indicated in the end.
