Fast design of next generation reflectarrays through advanced LBE strategies

The efficient and accurate evaluation of the electromagnetic response of complex reflectarray elements is addressed in this work. Unlike standard methodologies which resort to numerically expensive full-wave simulators in order to compute the scattering coefficient matrices of the reflectarrays unit cells, the Learning-by-Example techniques are here exploited in order to save time while achieving very good prediction accuracies. A selected set of preliminary results showing the accuracy of the proposed methodology and the time saving compared to standard approaches is presented.
