Analysing activity: what endures and what is new?

Résumé

Activity analysis is central to ergonomics and psycho-ergonomics in French-speaking countries. It places understanding activity at the heart of the design and improvement of work situations (Daniellou, 2005; Keyser, 1991). It involves understanding, explaining, and modelling actual activities in order to act upon situations.
