Chasseurs, ressources animales et milieux dans le nord de la France de la fin du Paléolithique à la fin du Mésolithique : problématique et état de la recherche.
Résumé
A diachronic review of the occurence of the main hunted species in the faunal assemblages between ca 13000 and 6500 BP (uncal.) from sites located in Northern France is presented. Magdalenian faunal spectra are rather specialized in the sense that few species are represented and that either reindeer or horse or both of them are predominant. The variations of the proportion of these main preys between the asssemblages of the central Paris Basin is debated in terms of seasonality. After 12000 BP the composition of the hunted fauna changes toward more temperate species and is fully achieved in the Mesolithic. Special attention is given to the occurence of red deer and wild boar. Some relevant patterns in the resources and habitats exploitation behaviour are stressed in order to enlight how important the implications can be to study the evolution of the hunting strategies.
