Abstract-This work aims at improving the compression performance of distributed video coding. We propose a new approach which consists in successively improving the side information after the decoding of each DCT subband, unlike [8] where it is revised after the decoding of all subbands. The experimental results indicate that the proposed scheme can achieve a significant gain in rate-distortion performance, compared to the DISCOVER codec, up to 0.75 dB for a GOP size of 2 and 2.25 dB for a GOP size of 8, for video sequences containing high motion.
