Perturbation induced formation of a 3D-network of microcrystals producing soft materials
Résumé
Toluene and 1-chloronaphthalene immobilization was observed when perturbing stimuli such as
agitation or ultrasound are applied during the cooling of a hot supersaturated solution of the
rigid dinitroxide bTbk. X-Ray diffraction and cryo-SEM on gels and solid samples (crystal,
powder) confirmed the pivotal role of clathrate type microcrystals in the solvent immobilization
process.
