            <abstract xml:lang="en">
              <p>A key factor to assure success of a visualization technique is how efficiently users perceive information using this visualization technique. This efficiency is strongly correlated with visualization parameters which we will summarize in the following with the term cognitive ergonomics. In this chapter we will motivate the reader to study cognitive ergonomics in visualization using an interdisciplinary approach. This interdisciplinary approach is based on eye tracking data visualization, ontology based visualization models, and cognitive simulations. Figure 1 shows the chapter structure, and the interdisciplinary approach we suggest.</p>
