Experimental Nanosurface Imaging with a Scanning-Tunneling-Like Device under 3D Control

Résumé

In this paper, a 3D nanpositioning control for an STM-like device is presented for the purpose of surface imaging. The considered experimental device is first described. The control strategy as well as the reconstruction approach are then introduced, and successful related experimental results are finally given. (Keywords: Control application, nanopositioning, tunneling current, surface reconstruction, disturbance observer, observability, filtering.)
