Impact of boundary conditions and the internal reservoir trip length on MFD-based traffic simulation

Résumé

Simulation using Macroscopic Fundamental Diagram (MFD) may be very sensitive to network heterogeneities, and the assumption of a constant rip length for travellers in a reservoir may lead to inaccurate results.
