Résumé

Recently, there have been numerous researches into domestic technologies to design the pervasive smart home. For home networks, we believe that ubiquitous computing requires a global-scale system that is zero-conf, self-managed and self- controlled. The emergence of different home automation technologies especially the wireless ones has introduced new challenges for home management. In the home, several appliances such a TV, a PC, a camcorder etc. can interoperate through the use of the UPnP architecture. With UPnP, devices can announce their presence, distribute information about their services, and send or respond to various control commands from other devices. Although the UPnP architecture leverages existing standards such as TCP/IP, HTTP and XML, it cannot directly handle scenarios where an UPnP device becomes mobile. Mobility brings new requirements and is becoming a key characteristic. In this paper we propose a system level architecture to provide mobility support to UPnP in-home devices.
