Résumé

In this paper, we exploit an absorption-scattering based high pitch length cholesteric liquid crystal active shutter. Using the two said fundamental optical properties, we have shown the resultant impact on optical transmission (ON & OFF state) is attracting the general lighting applications. Furthermore, the potential to be used as 3D active optical shutter has been endorsed.
