Influence of heterogeneities and of their distribution on the elastoplastic behaviour of metals,
Résumé
Modelling mechanical behaviour of metals is still a challenging task. On one hand, usual phenomenological modelling is an efficient way to capture limited experimental situations and to obtain rather good results from numerical simulations for study cases corresponding to these experimental conditions. On the other hand, models obtained by integrating selected physical phenomena seem a more intricate alternative, but they allow a general description without multiplying parameters and costly identifications. In particular, this paper shows the benefit of taking into account heterogeneities of mechanical properties in an original way. Distribution effect is also studied.
