On the efficiency of scheduling algorithms in LTE networks

Study of scheduling in LTE networks is THE nowaday vital challenge for communication operator. In this work, we study by simulation, a set of scheduling algorithms which are based on different criteria to optimize certain metrics. Those metrics concern in particular fairness and throughput. Our main contribution is to propose three new startegies all implemented under ns3 simulation environment, in C++ language. They permit to find a good trade-off between throughput and fairness along the allocation of units of radio resources to users.
