              <p>In this work, we propose transmit processingtechniques based on novel switched interleaving, chip-wiselinear precoding, and limited feedback for both downlink anduplink multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA)multiple antenna systems. We propose transceiver structureswith switched interleaving, linear precoding and detectorsfor both uplink and downlink. In the novel schemes, a setof possible chip-interleavers are constructed and prestored atboth the base station (BS) and mobile stations (MSs). For thedownlink, a new hybrid transmit processing technique basedon switched interleaving and chip-wise precoding is proposedto suppress the multiuser interference (MUI). The BS andMSs are also equipped with another codebook of quantizeddownlink channel state information (CSI). Each MS quantizesits own downlink CSI and feeds back the index to the BS by alow-rate feedback channel or link, then the selection functionat the BS determines the optimum interleaver based on allusers? quantized CSIs to transmit signals. Moreover, a transmitprocessing technique for the uplink of multiple antenna MCCDMAsystems requiring very low rate of feedback informationis also proposed. Codebook design methods for both interleaversand quantized CSI are also proposed. Simulation results showthat the performance of the proposed techniques is significantlybetter than prior art.</p>
