802.11e standard in ad hoc network: QoS, disabling acknowlegment

Résumé

IEEE 802.11e model aims mainly at an enhancement of the Medium Access Control (MAC) layer to support Quality of Service (QoS). Another feature of 802.11e is the ability to disable MAC Acknowledgment. By simulation, we tried to show what benefits could be expected of such enhancements on the context of multihops ad hoc networks.
