On Agile Service-oriented Business Processes: Activity-centric ECA-Architectural Foundation with Aspectual .NET Environment
Résumé
With the maturing of service technology, most of organizations are implementing their
process-centric information systems using Web-Services (shortly SO-BPs). Nevertheless, still challenging
engineering problems are hindering the development of highly adaptive, correct and realistic composite
services. We aim contributing by adopting a fine-grained activity-based perception, where we
behaviorally govern any involved activity using domain-level event-based business rules. We then conceptualize
such activity-centric rules as transient architectural connectors. In terms of service-oriented
architecture, connector roles will be playing service interfaces, whereas their glues be capturing the
service composition logic. This ECA-driven architectural is then formalized using rewriting logic, allowing
rapid-prototyping by true-concurrent rewriting using the MAUDE environment. For the efficient
Web-Services centered deployment, we have been developing a strictly compliant aspectual .
