Caracterisation of double wall carbon nanotubes by Transmission Electron Microscopy and optical absorption

Résumé

Using double wall carbon nanotubes (DWNTs) could be a successful strategy to overcome the sensitivity of single wall carbon nanotubes to their environment, which can be detrimental for some applications. However a little is known about the structure and the properties of DWNTs . In this work we examine by TEM and optical absorption the he interplay between the structure and properties of each layer of CVD made DWNTs.
