Climate adaptation of existing reinforced concrete structures in coastal areas

Résumé

This work focuses on assessing costs and effectiveness of climate adaptation strategies for existing reinforced concrete structures subject to chloride penetration and climate change. We will study on existing reinforced concrete structures built in France at different years under different building codes. Concerning environmental actions, we considered historical meteorological data and two climate change scenarios. It is hoped that the results of this study provide practical guidance to decision makers to improve the management of reinforced concrete structures under a changing climate.
