Estimation of the size of a spall defect on a rolling bearing outer ring using Instantaneous Angular Speed measurements

Résumé

The target of this paper is to present an innovative signal processing tool to isolate and to identify the variations caused by a defect on a bearing outer ring. This tool is based on the reconstruction of a filtered version of IAS signal and it is applied on IAS measurements performed on an experimental test bench with artificial bearing defects and on an actual wind turbine.
