Passive Wireless Sensor for Atmospheric Corrosion Monitoring

Résumé

A wireless and fully energetically passive corrosion sensor is presented. The sensitive part of the sensor consists of a microstrip multiresonator produced in the same metal as the mechanical structure under monitoring. This part is connected to two monopole antenas which allow to investigate the device over a wide range of frequency and to isolate the RX and TX signals due to their cross polarisation. After presenting electromagnetic propagation characterisation of these two parts, a demonstrator is proposed in this paper.
