Energetic reasoning and production resetting optimization

Résumé

A production resetting is an operation that consists in setting up all machines of a production line in order to switch from one product to another. This is a critical operation that can be optimized by scheduling setup tasks on available operators. In this paper, we present improvements of a lower bound for the production resetting optimization problem. These improvements are based on mixing preemptive relaxation and energetic reasoning.
