Effect of plastering on moisture buffering of hemp concrete
Résumé
This study deals with dynamic characterization of hygric behaviour of precast hemp concrete. In a first time, the study is held on the material itself. Then, the study considers systems made of plastered precast hemp concrete for two kinds of plaster. The measurement of moisture buffer value (MBV) is held according to the NORDTEST protocol. Results show that precast hemp concrete has a good, nearly excellent, moisture buffer capacity (MBV=1.94 g/(m².%RH). So, it is an excellent hygric regulator that improves hygrothermal comfort and reduces energy needs. Once plastered, hemp concrete remains good hygric regulator (for closed plaster) and nearly excellent hygric regulator (with open plaster).
