              <p>An active cavity‐backed antenna with self‐mixing capabilities is demonstrated. The FET oscillator operates at the resonance of the cavity in order to reduce the LO signal radiation. Experimental results show good performance in terms of isotropic conversion gain and radiation patterns.</p>
