DEM ball bearing model and defect diagnosis by electrical measurement

Résumé

Weproposeinthispaperanewmethodforthemonitoringanddiagnosisofbearing defectswhichutilisesthesensitivityandtherichnessofthelocalelectricalsignatureof the ballbearings.Experimentalresultsshowthecapabilityoftheelectricalmeasurement to betraytheexistenceofdefect.Anewmodelofballbearingispresentedbasedon DiscreteElementMethod(DEM),inwhichthemechanicalbehaviorofballbearingis reproduced correctly.Numericalsimulationsarecarriedouttohighlighttheinfluenceof angularvelocityontheelectricalsignalofhealthyballbearing.Moreover,thenumerical simulationsareperformedinthecaseofdefectedballbearing.Theelectricalsignals obtainedareingoodagreementwiththeoreticalfrequencies.Thenumericalstudy underscorethecapabilityofelectricalresponsetodetectgeometricaldefects.
