La venustas, entre pensée démocratique du monde habité, ou plastique, d'un "paysage acoustique"
Résumé
Trying to establish a dialogue between Frank Lloyd Wright's organic - i. e. democratic - architecture and Le Corbusier's "acoustic landscape" is the purpose of this paper. According to Frank Lloyd Wright, venustas is hidden in the inherent principle of Nature; so, the main mission of the architect is to discover the intrinsic meaning of each element in order to "grow" an organic, and democratic architecture. Geometry and mathematics are the basis of venustas, according to Le Corbusier, whose work, as architect, is indissociable of the work of the painter, trying to create a new landscape, a "symphony", an "acoustic landscape".
