Redox Modulation of Magnetic Slow Relaxation in a 4f-Based Single-Molecule Magnet with a 4d Carbon-Rich Ligand
Résumé
A Ru carbon-rich-based ligand that brings redox reversibility to a dinuclear Dy-based single-mol. magnet, trans-[PhC≡C(dppe)2RuC≡C-bipy-κ2-N,N-Dy(tta)3] (tta = 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetonate), is reported. Long-distance perturbation of the 4f ion is achieved upon oxidn., resulting in an overall enhancement of the magnetic slow relaxation.
