Cuba y el patrimonio cultural cubano y caribeño desde los principios de la Revolución

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of Cuba in the defense, maintenance and valorization of the Cuban and Caribbean cultural heritage. Firstly, we will explain the methods used by the Cuban government (cultural policy, laws, education of the population, etc.) in order to develop the maintenance of the cultural heritage, as the relationships established with other countries with the aim to preserve an heritage presented as "shared". Secondly, we will throw in relief the participation and implication of the Cuban population in the preservation of the Cuban and Caribbean cultural heritages, so that we can understand the power of the cultural topic in human, social and between states relationships. Lastly, we will consider the challenges that the management of heritage presupposes for Cuba, which must at the same time preserve one or different cultural in heritance(s), adapt itself to the tourism, confirm its implication in the sustainability, and invent constantly new strategies of economic development.
